AE Grantham is a writer, accredited social worker and workshop facilitator based in Bellingen on the New South Wales mid north coast. She works with people who want to write, or to come back to writing, and offers one to one coaching in person and online.
The Australian Association of Social Workers accredits Alex, who holds a Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying) from SCU, a Bachelor of Communications from RMIT and a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from CAE, along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Diploma of Management. She works professionally in autism and neurodiversity, and is a trainer for Lifeline and Gender and Disaster.
One to one coaching
In person in Bellingen or online. Sessions are for people who want to get moving on a project, work out what is getting in the way, or build a writing practice that survives a normal week. Predictable structure, no critique, and no pressure to share anything you are not ready to share.
Facilitation and training
Alex facilitates workshops and training for groups and organisations, grounded in trust, safety, choice, collaboration and empowerment, and designed to be neurodivergent friendly. Get in touch to talk about what you need.
ARC Studio
Alex founded and runs ARC Studio, where the monthly writing sessions, one day workshops and retreats are held. ARC stands for Aspire, Reflect, Create. The name goes back to three years presenting Aspire on community radio, a weekly hour about how people set goals and imagine what comes next. Her own writing
Alex writes both fiction and non-fiction, and is developing two novels and a growing collection of short stories. She won the All About Grief award in the 2024 Grieve Project, and her debut novel Floodlight is on the way.
