Common questions

What is the difference between a P rating and an R rating?

Both measure slip resistance but they use different test methods. Which one applies depends on how the area is used, how much moisture it gets and how much grip is needed.

Is P3 suitable for a floor inside the house?

Generally yes. P3 suits residential areas such as bedrooms, living rooms and other indoor spaces with low to moderate foot traffic. The right rating still depends on the specific area and how wet it gets.

What slip rating should outdoor tiles have?

Most outdoor residential applications are better with R11 or higher, which improves grip and safety underfoot.

Can I get a sample before I order?

Yes, samples are free. With natural stone this matters, since colour and veining vary and a sample in your own light tells you more than a photo.
