Five Senses is a boutique skin rejuvenation salon in Cromer on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, run by qualified beauty therapist Marg Stamboulidis. Marg has more than 20 years’ experience in skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing treatments and works from a private home salon at 1 Burrawal Place, Cromer NSW 2099, a short drive from Dee Why, Collaroy, Narraweena, Narrabeen and Wheeler Heights.

Skin treatments in Cromer

Every treatment is tailored to your skin after a consultation. Marg’s core services are microdermabrasion, Photonlite LED light therapy, oxygen infusion facials, AHA/BHA peels, hydrating infusion facials and the signature Hollywood 9 Step Treatment. She also offers waxing, eyebrow shaping and lash and brow tinting, so you can look after everything in one visit.

• Microdermabrasion (30 min, $80): exfoliates dead skin cells, smooths texture and brightens dull or congested skin.
• Rejuvenator (60 min, $110) and Deluxe Rejuvenator (90 min, $160): microdermabrasion combined with LED light therapy.
• LED (Photonlite) Light Therapy (30 min, $90): calms redness, supports collagen and speeds skin repair. Packages of 3 or 6 available.
• Customised Oxygen Infusion Treatment (45 min, $150): pressurised oxygen delivers hydrating serums deep into the skin for an instant plumping effect.
• AHA/BHA Peel (30 min, $60): a gentle chemical peel for congestion, fine lines and uneven tone.
• Hollywood 9 Step Treatment (90 min, $220): double cleanse, peel, infusion, LED, mask and three-step hydration layering. Six for $1,100.
• Indulgence Facial (60 min, $90), Mini Indulgence Facial (30 min, $45) and Teen Skin Facial (30 min, $90).
• Waxing, tinting and brows: lip, chin, brow, arm, leg, bikini and underarm waxing from $15; lash and brow tinting from $20; eyebrow shaping $20.

About Marg Stamboulidis

Marg trained at the Peninsula College of Beauty Therapy and holds the internationally recognised CIDESCO diploma and AABTh membership, two of the most respected beauty therapy credentials in Australia. Before opening Five Senses she worked at some of the Northern Beaches’ leading day spas and salons, where she specialised in anti-ageing and results-based skin rejuvenation. The salon is a one-therapist studio, so you see Marg at every appointment and your treatment plan builds on what worked last time.

Products we use

Five Senses uses Australian-made, professional-grade skincare from Intraceuticals and Pelactiv. Both are cosmeceutical ranges formulated with active ingredients at salon strength and sold through trained therapists. Take-home products are available so you can maintain results between visits, and members receive 10% off.

Membership and packages

The Five Senses membership is $110 a month and includes a monthly facial with LED light therapy plus 10% off all products. Packages of three or more treatments are discounted (for example, six LED sessions for $450 instead of $540). Gift vouchers are available for any treatment or dollar value and make a popular birthday or Mother’s Day gift for Northern Beaches locals.

Where is Five Senses located?

Five Senses is a home-based salon at 1 Burrawal Place, Cromer NSW 2099, in the Northern Beaches Council area. Free street parking is available outside. It is about five minutes from Dee Why and Collaroy and ten minutes from Narrabeen and Brookvale.

What are the opening hours?

Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, with late appointments until 8pm on Thursdays, and Saturday 10am to 2pm. Closed Sunday. Appointments are required as this is a private salon.

How much does a facial cost at Five Senses?

Facials start at $45 for a 30-minute Mini Indulgence Facial. Microdermabrasion is $80, LED light therapy is $90, oxygen infusion is $150 and the 90-minute Hollywood 9 Step Treatment is $220. Packages of three or six bring the per-treatment price down.

Which treatment is best for anti-ageing?

For fine lines and loss of firmness, Marg usually recommends a course of oxygen infusion or the Hollywood 9 Step Treatment, with LED light therapy between sessions to support collagen. A consultation at your first visit confirms the right plan for your skin.

Is microdermabrasion suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Marg adjusts the intensity to your skin, and for very reactive skin she may suggest LED light therapy or a hydrating infusion facial instead. Tell her about any medication, recent peels or sun exposure before your appointment.

How often should I have a facial?

Most clients see the best results with a professional treatment every four to six weeks, which matches the skin’s natural renewal cycle. The $110 monthly membership is designed around this schedule.

Do you offer waxing and tinting as well as facials?

Yes. Lip, chin, brow, underarm, arm, leg and bikini waxing, eyebrow shaping and lash and brow tinting can all be added to a facial or booked on their own.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a 50% fee.

Do you sell gift vouchers?
