Balustrade 1 is a Capel Sound business that designs, fabricates and installs glass, wire and steel balustrades and glass pool fencing for homes and commercial projects across the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne’s bayside. It has more than 20 years in the trade and works directly with owners, builders and architects from its factory and showroom.

Will stainless steel fittings rust near the sea or a pool?

Fittings are made from 316 marine grade stainless steel, the grade chosen for salt air and chlorinated water because it resists corrosion far better than standard steel.

How do I keep pool fence glass from going cloudy?

Salt and chlorine leave a white film on untreated glass over time. Balustrade 1 can apply CeramiClean, a one-off ceramic coating that sheds water and dirt, or supply easy-clean treated glass.

Can I install a wire balustrade myself?

Yes. You can buy wire balustrade fittings and pool fence hardware for a DIY job, and hire a hydraulic swaging tool. Sending a deck plan helps the team price the parts.
