Builder selection

Choosing the right floor

Engineered timber gives you a real timber surface using less raw timber than solid boards. Laminate gives you the look of timber at a lower cost. Vinyl is the low maintenance option. The team will talk you through which one suits the room rather than pointing you at the dearest product.

Can I see the flooring before I buy it?

Yes. There is a showroom at Unit 16, 75-85 Elm Park Drive, Hoppers Crossing. Drop in Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm, or book a Saturday appointment.

Do you install, or is it supply only?

Both. Discount Flooring Supplies supplies and installs, so you can buy the flooring on its own or have it laid.

What is the difference between laminate and engineered timber?

Engineered timber has a real timber wear layer over a stable core, so it looks and feels like a timber floor while using less raw timber than solid boards. Laminate is a printed timber-look surface over a board. Laminate costs less, engineered timber is closer to the real thing.

Do you do commercial flooring?

Yes. Residential and commercial flooring are both supplied and installed, and there is a commercial range as well as a builder selection range for new builds.
