Lakelands Physiotherapy and Allied Health is the Lakelands clinic of Miami Physiotherapy, serving the Mandurah region. The practice was established at Falcon in June 2006 by Shelley Sloper and opened this second clinic in 2017. Between them the two clinics run a team of 11 physiotherapists and three remedial massage therapists, which is why same-day appointments are usually available.
Neck pain, headaches and whiplash. Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand injuries. Back pain, sciatica and sacroiliac joints. Hip and groin pain. Knee, ankle and foot injuries. Tendinopathies. Balance problems and vertigo. Arthritis and chronic pain. Sporting injuries, strains, sprains and corkies. Pre-operative preparation, and rehabilitation after surgery or fracture. Chest conditions including COPD and asthma. Pre and post-natal, and gender health.
We think you should understand your diagnosis, meaning what the problem actually is, and your prognosis, meaning how long it will take to improve and by how much. So the treatment plan is given to you in writing: what needs doing, what your therapist does, what you do, and roughly how many sessions it should take. You cannot be actively involved in your own recovery if nobody has told you the plan.
The Lakelands clinic serves Lakelands, Meadow Springs and the surrounding Mandurah area. Our sister clinic at Falcon covers the southern end of the region, and appointments can be booked at either.
