Lion & Cub Photography is the portrait studio of Nikki McLennan, working from Tortuga Studios at 31 Princes Highway, St Peters, in Sydney’s inner west. Sessions cover families, maternity, babies, pets and weddings, along with personal branding and headshots for business.

Where is the studio?

Nikki works from Tortuga Studios at 31 Princes Highway, St Peters NSW 2044, a 90 square metre photographic studio in Sydney’s inner west. Headshot and branding sessions can also be photographed in the streets around St Peters or at your own business premises. Saturday sessions are by appointment.

How much does a session cost?

A booking fee of $200 secures your session date. The rest of the cost depends on the image collection and products you choose after the shoot, and a full pricing guide is available from the studio. Express headshots are a fixed $195 including GST.

What do I receive after the session?

Each image collection includes fully retouched digital files delivered through a private online gallery, plus a print credit towards framed or album artwork. Albums, frames and gift vouchers can be ordered separately. Express headshots are delivered the same day.

What should I wear?

A studio wardrobe is available for women, little girls and babies, and you are welcome to mix pieces from it with your own clothing. A consultation is arranged before each shoot, which is the point to talk through clothing and the look you are after.

Has Nikki McLennan won any awards?

Nikki won an Australian Small Business Champion Award in 2022 and has been a finalist in the Olive Cotton Award, a national portrait photography prize. She exhibits her work regularly.
