Pepper June is a wedding and lifestyle photography studio with a studio in Castle Hill, in Sydney’s Hills District. It was formed in 2023 when founders Russell Stafford and David Duong merged three existing businesses, We Are Origami, Russell Stafford Photography and The Pepper June Wedding Co. The studio covers weddings in Sydney, the Southern Highlands, the Hunter Valley and Canberra.

Style and process
The studio describes its style as sitting between documentary and editorial, which it calls loose editorial: guiding couples into a composition and then waiting for the unposed moment that follows. Bookings start with an initial consultation of about 45 minutes, held either at the Castle Hill studio or online by video or phone. During that consultation the team helps couples work through a rough schedule for the day, looking at the key events and how much time to allow for each. Can we book without a consultation?
In some cases, yes. If you already know the coverage you need the studio can book you in, though it still likes to have a short phone call first to check you are a good fit for each other.

Yes. During the consultation the team helps put together a rough schedule, looking at the key events and advising how much time to allow for each part of the day.
