Sydney CBD Repair Centre is a mobile phone repair shop on Level 2 at 661-663 George Street, Haymarket, next to the ANZ branch and a short walk from the Chinatown light rail stop. The shop repairs handsets rather than replacing them, and its technicians come from South Korea. Devices can be brought in over the counter or posted from interstate, and the business also accepts jobs from customers outside Australia.
The shop works on models from the iPhone 3G through to current releases, and lists screen repairs among its main jobs. If a model is not listed you can request it through the website.
For customers outside Sydney, the shop runs a mail-in service: you post the phone and it is repaired and returned. The website carries write-ups of long-distance repairs it has handled, including jobs sent from Byron Bay and from 2000 kilometres away.
The shop trades six days a week, Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm, and is closed on Sunday. It is on the Sydney light rail line, at the Chinatown stop. Accessories, including protection cases for current iPhone models, are also sold in store.
