Common questions

What age can children start karate?

Children can start from age 3 in the Tiny Dragons program, which is designed for preschoolers and focuses on coordination, school readiness and basic movement patterns.

Is karate suitable for beginners?

Yes. Most students start with no prior martial arts experience, and the curriculum is structured to take complete beginners through each belt level at their own pace.

Do I need to be fit to start?

No prior fitness is required. Training adapts to each person’s capability, and beginner classes are designed to build skills from the ground up.

How does the free trial work?

Book a free trial online or by phone, then arrive 10 minutes early to meet your instructor, complete registration and take part in a full class.

What should I wear to a first class?

Comfortable athletic clothing such as a t-shirt, shorts, leggings or tracksuit pants. The school will help fit you for a traditional karate uniform, a karategi, when you join.
