The building
The house at 33 Glebe Point Road was built as a private home in 1896. In 1908 it became the Sydney United Friendly Society Dispensary, where patients brought their own bottles and jars to collect remedies such as ointments, cod liver oil, lime water and chamomile flowers, along with leeches and poppy heads.
