Michele & Son Upholsterers

Michele & Son Upholsterers is a family run upholstery workshop on Parramatta Road at Stanmore. It was established in 1976 by Michele, who brought his interest in curtain making, furniture and upholstery from Italy to the Stanmore workshop, and his son Vince took over the business in 2000. The office and showroom are at 242 Parramatta Road and the workshop is next door at 240.

How it works

You email photos of your furniture with a short description of the work you want done. An upholsterer assesses the photos and sends back a tailored quote. Once you accept, you are guided through fabric selection, either in the showroom or with advice by phone, drawing on ranges from fabric houses including Warwick, Mokum and Zepel. The workshop then arranges drop-off or collection, and gets in touch for delivery or pick-up when the piece is finished, along with care tips.

Hours and visiting

The showroom is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm, with Saturday from 9.00am to 12.00pm by appointment. Walk-ins are welcome during the week to look at fabric samples, or you can arrange a time by calling (02) 9560 1357 or emailing the workshop.
